Elements Of The PC Party Propsperity Canada Program

A thorough assessment of our natural resources and the skills of our people is the first step in bringing greater prosperity to Canada.

Through this our strengths and limitations, or rather the challenges to be met, will be made manifest.

Following this assessment other steps necessary to maximizing outcomes:

Commonwealth Collaboration
Recognizing Canada’s natural leadership role among the 53 member nations of the Commonwealth we intend to form new links for Commonwealth Collaboration to create new levels of global prosperity and to enhance the role of expatriate Commonwealth Canadian citizens.

Environment
Facilitating Canada in becoming a leader in developing environmentally friendly new energy, including wind, solar, geothermal and tidal power.

Health Care
Providing, with the provinces, the means of ensuring healthier Canadians particularly by increasing the number of doctors and other health care professionals supported by the most advanced and sophisticated technological systems available.

Infrastructure
Collaborating with the provinces and their municipalities in constructing and maintaining necessary transport, communication and energy producing structures.

Post-Secondary Education To Build Our Knowledge Resources
Assuring all those prepared to invest their time and talents in post-secondary education are enabled to do so.  This will include free tuition for such education at university, college  and other post-secondary schools including trade schools.

Tax System To Become Most Development Friendly In The World
Restructuring the tax system to make it as simple and competitive as possible, with personal and corporate income taxes lower than our largest trading partner, while ensuring that in doing this, those below a minimum income level will be better off than at present.

The North
Developing our northern territories, our national frontier, which must be done to protect our sovereignty. They will become part of our Prosperity Program. In developing the frontier, which is nearly 40% of Canada’s land mass, there must be maximum aboriginal participation in this development and protection of Canada’s north.
